The problem with this issue is due to (older) Fanatec drivers version on your part. I believe the SDK from them assume some driver functions which just aren't there in earlier versions. As for your wheel it doesn't really matter that much. All the features keep working, only revleds on the CSW would be skipped if the wheel was unknown.
If you want your wheel to be recognized you'd have to update to newer or beta drivers (if any are available at all)
Thanks. In agreement with your response, I re-installed the Fanatec version 144 driver. The error message no longer appeared in FanaLEDs. And the button lights appeared on the steering wheel.
