My antivirus software BitDefender pushes the fanaleds.exe after 1 or 2 days into quarantine and reports some troyans.
after an update a few days ago I was wondering why fanaleds doesnt start up with windows anymore. and I was searching the EXE.
now I cant install any version cuz the installer cant write fanaleds.exe

I’m dealing with similar problems, my norton life lock keeps blocking the fanaled software and removes the .exe.

Avast told us yesterday that they marked it as safe again, so you'll have to wait I think.

I'm adding my experience to this thread as well. While until version 2.6a I didn't have any problem with Avira Free antivirus, starting with 2.6b it is recognized as a virus.
I guess there is no such a thing as a common line among AV developers...

There sure is not! We've contacted a lot of them, and all removed their threat warning, except for Avast that marks it as a PUP, and some company I didn't even heard about before SecureAPlus still says it's unsafe, so their manual scans aren't any good either.

Really? I've emailed most of them, and they said they've whitelisted Fanaleds!
Since we don't use 3rd-party antivirus, is it possible to flag it as safe as a consumer?
